Wedding Date: 13th of October 2007
Ceremony Venue: Russettings, Sutton Registry Office
Reception Venue: Carew Manor, Beddington Park

our Wedding Ceremony

Russettings - Registry OfficeThe ceremony is due to start at 2:30 pm at Russettings, the Sutton Registry Office, though we ask everyone to be there by 2:15 pm for a prompt start.

Russettings is a lovely late 19th century Edwardian building that was originally owned by Georgy Smith who was the brother-in-law of Thomas Wall, founder of Wall's, famous for making ice cream and sausages. The Registry Office took over the building in 1953 and from what we have seen, they have definitely upkept the place very well.

After the ceremony there will be time for photos, and then all guests will be transported to the reception via a vintage Routemaster bus. We hope that you will enjoy the bus ride on the day.

By Train

The train service to Sutton is extremely good and the station is only approximately 10 minutes walk away from the Registry Office. Please note that the train station is under Zone 5 in London.

If you are coming from/via London Victoria, there are frequent trains on the Southern Railway service to Sutton. I suggest that you either look out for a fast train to Sutton or a train that goes towards Dorking/Horsham via Hackbridge. The train normally departs from platforms 9-12 at London Victoria Station.

If you are coming from/via King's Cross, there is the Thameslink service run by First Capital Connect. Please note that the King's Cross Thameslink station is not in the same building as the King's Cross Station itself and that you would need to exit King's Cross station and head down the road for the Thameslink station.

Also, National Rail Enquiries has timetables for the day, please see their website for more information. Another alternative is the Transport for London website which has up to date travel information if you are travelling within London.

By Bus

Sutton is also well linked to Southern London and the surrounding area by the bus network. Transport for London has a great journey planner.

By Taxi

There are a number of good local cab firms in the area:
First Choice Minicabs: 020 8773 3443
Rosehill Car Service: 020 8641 3535
Sutton & Cheam Station Cars Ltd: 020 8643 2255

By Car

Transport to the reception from the Registry Office has already been arranged. Car parking at the registry office is also somewhat limited. Bearing this in mind those driving may wish to drop off their cars at the reception venue and take taxis/public transport over to the wedding ceremony. If you wish to take the bus, take the 407 bus route to the Sutton Post Office bus stop and walk on from there. Those still wishing to travel by car, both the AA and the RAC have route planners. Please watch out for the devilish one way system around Sutton - it is easy to miss Worcester Road.
